She follows directions well

Remember that design I was working on? Well, I made a rough draft. It's awfully frustrating making a pattern from "scratch". I realize that my sewing time is better spent following directions that are neatly laid out on a commercial pattern. I like that I can cut a pattern out in a given size and it will come together and look like the garment pictured on the envelope cover.

So for a rough draft it's pretty o.k. Here's the problem. I'm over it. I don't feel like going back to the drawing board to iron out the kinks. For example: I made the front yoke and back yoke have different curves to fit the body better. The yoke is not a true half circle so the shirring lines are a little wonky. It's kinda hard to explain. Although I thought I sized this in a size 6 it ended up being more like a size 5 (maybe). 

I'm wondering if I should make the yoke a true 1/2 circle  just to make it easier. I also stitched the shirring on the front yoke separate from the back yoke and then stitched the seams closed at the shoulder afterward. There's probably a way to do this another way, but you've got me. There were lot's of little details that annoyed me along the way. I know I should be happy my first run turned out a wearable garment, but I'm just anxious to get to another project.

Let me know... would anyone out there be interested in me uploading this pattern? With my kooky sewing instructions? I think I can work it out to be sized for 2-6.
