Mistakes and all, though not if the shirt is truly unwearable. :( I thought about you pretty much all afternoon as I stitched up my VERY FIRST knit piece: a t-shirt, which I promptly burned with my iron when I applied the applique. Sweet. Regardless of the snafu, THANK YOU for giving me the inspiration to sew knits. It was 100x more enjoyable than I had thought.Kimberlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10613891612248674894noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-157380380230545874.post-409235195453024442011-05-11T14:30:11.702-07:002011-05-11T14:30:11.702-07:00The fabric is cursed! The fabric is cursed!Carolynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14329368015151415166noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-157380380230545874.post-43837000264551141572011-05-11T11:57:48.942-07:002011-05-11T11:57:48.942-07:00I blame the giraffes! I know what you mean about sewing with kids - in three days with two kids I have completed one pair of (simple, elastic waist) pants and two-thirds of a t-shirt. My KCWC list is looking less likely by the minute...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-157380380230545874.post-21399753798230249402011-05-11T10:23:42.140-07:002011-05-11T10:23:42.140-07:00So true that sewing with the kids up/around is not...So true that sewing with the kids up/around is not the same thing at all! I didn't even finish a garment last night, because I tried to make it "craft night" with my 3-year old son, which involved him pulling down all the pattern pieces, unfolding my folded fabric...well, you get the picture. As for the shoulder lap shirts, I totally feel your pain. I had one I sewed on wrong that sat in my basket for 1 year before I fixed it. Ugh.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
