Lucy Goosey

How did this little thing grow up to become...

This huge monster?

She would really prefer to live inside with us since she "imprinted" on me from such a young age.

She's beautiful, majestic and proud. She also beats up on the dogs and chickens. Insert frowny face. She recently killed my favorite chicken so we've had to build her a new special place that allows her free range of our property. This free range does not include inside our house but today we had a bit of a heat wave and had all the doors open and she just waddled in to the house. I didn't have the heart to kick her out. Until she crapped ALL over the floor.

p.s. do you see all those laundry baskets lining the hallway? I currently have 8 loads to fold. That's not too bad right. Right?

  1. Woah that's a huge bird in your house!! Um yeah, 4 loads is about par for the course around here too...we fold it when we can no longer walk in the laundry room.

  2. Wow, she is quite large. At least you have tile, right? I typically have 3 loads waiting to be folded. It's gotten better now that I make my kids help. I separate everything into piles and the two older ones have to fold their own. Since their stuff tends to be the majority of the clothes I find I am done in no time.
I have found that it usually takes less time than I expect to do a chore. I spend all day dreading something but when I finally do it I find that it took me less than 30 min. Ugh. Now I sound like I'm talking to my kids. I tell them all the time, "If you would stop whining and just do it, you'd be done by now...".

  4. That is a big goose. I am partial to the feathered kind and love my chickens, wouldnt appreciate them crapping in the house though. My moto is to only fold when you have nothing else to wear - if you want to talk abour ironing, it wont happen in this century.
