Oliver + S Sailboat Pants and 90 Minute Shirt

I made this charming outfit this weekend using the good ol' 90 minute shirt and the Oliver + S Sailboat Pants pattern. I was inspired by this pair of pants. It was my first attempt at the pants pattern. As usual the instructions were very easy to follow and it was a really easy pattern to make. I highly recommend this one because it has a skirt, top and pants included.
The denim facing was due to fabric shortage but it turned out cute and I'll probably make it with contrast facing again. I made the pants in a size 12-18 months (Vinny is 9 months old). I made them big in an effort to avoid this...
Cloth diapers are my nemesis. Besides the repelling, night time leaking and skunky stink I have to deal with pants not fitting properly. I'm not good at making pattern adjustments. On the next pair I will try to raise the rise, but I'm not sure how that will work with the front panel.

And don't forget to hop on over to catch the Train to Crazy! Make it, Wear it still happening.

Very nice! The denim facing is very successful. I have some of this fabric in white with green elephants and have been wondering what to do with it. These look great :-)

They are adorable! To add length to the crotch seam you might want to try this pattern alteration:

basically slash/spread in the middle of the back crotch seam on the pattern piece. I think I have this pattern, may need to try and dig it out for my youngest.

Seriously one of the cutest boy outfits ever. I may need to get that pattern!

Oh, and I feel you with the cloth diaper issue. I bet you could adjust the pattern in the back to make them fit better.

great pattern adjustment on the new pair, but the green elephant fabric is awesome. babies and peek-a-boo diapers are a totally acceptable combo, especially when their clothes look like this.
