It is a wood burner. It's called a brasero. I have quite a few. More than I can display. My dad was a collector. He always loved them. That particular brasero in the photo is my favorite because it's so large.

We're the same way with breakable items - most of them are packed away or up high. Or so I thought, until my 3 year old recently took a nail to our flat screen television. *Bangs head on wall.*

When not completely consumed with the above mentioned, I like to start projects that don't always get finished. My completion rate is dismal.
